Chester Rotary Club Community Parklet Project, Chester Town Hall Square 2024
Chester Rotary Club have worked in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Earl of Chester’s Charity, to fully refurbish the tables, benches and planters now planted with shrubs, herbaceous plants, grasses and herbs.
The Parklet is now positioned in front of Chester Town Hall following on from the great success of Summer 2023. Now everyone can enjoy the Parklet again during the Summer. It will remain in place until September 2024.
The Parklet brings biodiversity to a City Centre area, it is free for everyone to use and enjoy and is an ideal place to catch up with friends, family, eat a picnic, break for lunch from work, rest from sightseeing, grab a takeout coffee, sit somewhere nice, sit and do nothing or just enjoy the insects enjoying the plants.
The City of Chester Rotary Club sincerely thank Acres Farm Nurseries, Alltami for supplying the majority of the lovely plants, grasses and herbs.
Our grateful thanks also to Potash Garden Centre for their contribution and to Tesco, Broughton for their kind donation.
